INJECTION MOULDING SERVICES

• This fast-cycling process is used for complex, high precision work and high volume runs.
  
  
• The granular material used is placed in a hopper and fed into a heating chamber.
  
  
• Once the material has become molten, it is injected under pressure into a die.
  
  
• The die is liquid-cooled, allowing the material to solidify, and is then ejected from the die.
  
  
• We are able to mould all plastic materials including specialised engineering polymers.

• Durattract has a variety of machines to meet our client’s diverse needs, the largest being a 500 ton machine.
  
  
• The company has a fully equipped in-house tool-room for the manufacture of injection moulding tooling and includes CNC Milling machines.
  
  
• We also have in-house CAD/CAM software for surface machining interface with our CNC.
  
  
• The advantage of the process is that, although tooling costs are high, unit costs are extremely low.
